Phantom T4040

The Phantom T4040 captures 4Mpx resolution images at speeds not previously possible. Our proprietary sensor with back side illuminated (BSI) architecture ensures 40Gpx/s data throughput is sustained and a max frame rate of 440,000 fps. A peak Quantum Efficiency rating above 90% ensures the sensor’s ability to capture images at lower light levels. 

4 Mpx resolution offers significant benefits over traditional 1Mpx high-speed cameras for subjects with high level of detail or objects with movement across a larger field of view.  Flow Visualization techniques including Particle Image Velocimetry are improved due to the precise rendition of the particles’ shape, size, and location. Digital image correlation also benefits from the increased resolution by allowing researchers to collect more data over a larger surface area. 

With a 9.27 µm pixel size the camera is well suited for subjects that require high magnification, from the biomechanical study of insect wing movement to the high-tech world of microchip development. The compact T-Series camera body offers lens mount options that easily connect to specialized optics. 

The T4040 includes EDR (Extreme Dynamic Range), providing mitigation for bright flashes by dynamically adjusting exposure in saturated areas of the image. It also includes on-camera controls, video outputs and CineMag capability which are the features necessary for remote, standalone operation.

The Phantom T1340 is the next evolution in high-speed, high resolution imaging.  This new platform is part of a generation of cameras that deliver greater throughput, premium features, and enhanced performance in a small and compact housing. 
 
The custom 4 Mpx sensor operates with 13 Gpx/second image throughput. The premium imaging specifications are ideal for motion analysis applications that require data precision such as high-speed digital imaging correlation (DIC), particle image velocimetry (PIV), and stress and strain analysis.

Phantom TMX5010

The Phantom TMX 5010 is our entry level TMX back side illuminated (BSI) camera. This model utilizes the same high-speed sensor as other TMX models but is ideal for laboratory and application settings where 50Gpx/second throughput offers significant application flexibility and other powerful features such as enhanced sensitivity, memory capabilities, and a larger resolution at high frame rates can take research to the next level. Universities and other education institutions will benefit highly from the versatility of the TMX 5010. 

BSI technology provides increased sensitivity allowing experiments to use lower exposure times and less supplemental lighting. Phantom operators can reach 95 ns minimum exposure with the FAST option, eliminating motion blur. The FAST option feature also allows the TMX 5010 to reach high end speeds of up to 1.16M FPS at reduced resolutions. Even at very high frame rates, BSI technology maintains processing throughput at nearly 50Gpx/sec, meaning that researchers have access to larger resolutions at higher frame rates than they ever had before. The internal RAM is capable of providing up to 511 partitions for fast action events that require high-speed data management and workflow.

At its full 1 Mpx resolution of 1280 x 800 the Phantom T3610 captures over 38,000 fps. This  38 Gpx/second throughput is maintained through its full range for a top frame rate of 875,000 fps at both 1280 x 32 (standard mode) and 640 x 64 (binned mode). Binned mode increases the vertical resolution of the camera's top frame rates by combining the sensor pixels 2x2. Binned mode is included on both mono and color T3610 cameras, however the output will switch to mono when used on a color camera. 
 
The frame rates provided by the T3610 are sought after for combustion, impact testing, spray dynamics, shock wave analysis and other applications that benefit from sub-microsecond exposure times. The T3610 custom BSI sensor delivers on all fronts, including the ability to shoot in environments with limited supplemental light. 
 
The T3610 includes premium features to enable a variety of applications including:

Phantom TMX6410

The Phantom TMX 6410 utilizes a back side illuminated CMOS sensor designed for high-speed imaging. The 64 Gigapixel throughput allows for extreme frame rate speeds that are capable of delivering up to 1.5M fps with a 95ns minimum exposure time with our FAST option. All frame rates are actual data, with no interpolation, for the most accurate results. This is only possible because of the advancements of utilizing back side illuminated sensors in high-speed imaging.  In BSI sensors, the metal components that can block incident light from the photodiodes are located in the back of the sensor, and can be designed to reduce processing overheads, making the power of a TMX possible. 

At the full 1 Mpx resolution of 1280 x 800 the TMX 6410 records at almost 66,000 fps.  The 6410 provides larger resolutions than possible before for applications needing high frame rates. For example, the 6410 can reach over 300,000 fps at 1280 x 160 or 640 x 320 (binned). These incredible speeds mean that data management is vital to ensuring as little downtime as possible. Like other TMX models up to 512GB of onboard RAM and the Phantom CineMag (non-volatile storage) data management options are available. 

The TMX 6410 has access to all of the traditional Phantom features that make camera use easy.  Both on-camera controls and compatibility with our Phantom Camera Control software assist in ensuring that researchers of a variety of industries and applications have the tools they need to make their experiments a success.

Phantom TMX7510

The Phantom TMX 7510 is the world's first high-speed camera to utilize back side illumination. Implementing this technology has allowed Vision Research engineers to develop a custom sensor capable of unprecedented speeds without sacrificing the image quality that Phantom cameras are known for. 

BSI technology provides increased processing efficiency, allowing TMX cameras to maintain their high throughput levels even as frame rates increase. The TMX 7510 has 75 Gigapixel throughput which can provide over 76,000 fps at a full 1 Mpx resolution of 1280 x 800.  At reduced resolutions the camera will record at over 770,000 fps in standard mode and up to 1.75M fps and 95ns in with the FAST mode. 

One truth of high-speed imaging that never changes is that, 'with increased speeds comes the need for increased light'. The unique back side illuminated sensor found in the Phantom TMX 7510 deals with this issue by locating the metal parts of a traditional sensor that interfere with incident light to the photodiode to the back of the sensor. Moving those key elements to the back of the sensor allows even more light to reach each pixel, improving light sensitivity and QE. 

This revolutionary platform is part of a generation of cameras that deliver greater throughput, premium features, and enhanced performance. Flexibility is key to ensuring that the TMX 7510 is capable of producing images that scientific analysts require.  The ability to select binning mode allows for a variety of resolutions without sacrificing speed. In standard mode the TMX 7510 can reach over 300,000 fps at 1280 x 192 (long, thin rectangle), but if switched into binning mode the same speeds are possible at 640 x 384 (shorter and wider rectangle). The difference in resolution options means that researchers are better able to fit the camera sensor output to the size and shape of their high-speed event.  These incredible speeds mean that data management is vital to ensuring as little downtime as possible. The Phantom TMX 7510 has up to 512GB of onboard RAM, can be fitted to use our custom non-volatile data storage, the Phantom CineMag, and comes equipped with 10Gb Ethernet download as a standard. All of these workflow tools are available on every TMX.

The Phantom Flex4K delivers low noise, high resolution 4K imaging at super 35mm format. The full- size images are delivered via 9.4 Gpx throughput in the Cine Raw file format. Phantom v2640 ONYX

The Phantom v2640 Onyx is a special model of Phantom camera only available for rent through Vision Research and select partners in different regions.  Adapted from our v2640 scientific camera the Onyx delivers the world's fastest 4 Mpx camera to the media and production industry. The Onyx includes an all-black housing and optical low pass filter (OLPF) to reduce aliasing artifacts caused by the sensor's bayer pattern CFA.

Afhængig af applikation anvendes højhastighedskameraer med forskellige specifikationer. Afhængig af kamera model kan der optages op til 1.000.000 billeder i sekundet (fps) og nye modeller kan optage i en opløsning op i 4K.
